This form of closed cell foam is cross-linked using a physical method rather than chemicals. The benefit of this irradiation process is that after the foam cells have been interwoven there is no debris of any kind left behind. You can differentiate this foam by the shinier and flatter cell surface and by the smaller, rounder cells with their finer cell walls. These foam types feel softer to the touch.
